I was worried that maybe my garlic didn't like the super-duper new stuff I added to its bed. Or the location. something. I'm trying to get better about rotating my "crops" a bit so the garlic is in a new bed this season. But finally last weekend I noted the green shoots poking out. Whew! I have high hopes, since this is the second year I've planted this garlic. So last year I bought a nice set of organic bulbs to grow and saved the biggest heads from that crop to plant again this year. They should be even better than last year's crop, which I cook with nearly every night. My huge braid is being demolished--but I love that!
My tomatoes are frozen. Everything else is gone, except for the parsley. I planted some more chard seeds as well, thinking they might do well in the winter. I haven't had a minute to get to the nursery for broccoli starts as I'd originally planned.
