- When I was little I was scared to death of snails--not a good thing for someone growing up in the woods in Oregon. I was convinced that they only moved slowly when you watched them but if you turned your back they could move as fast as they wanted. So I had to stare at them.
- I just bought a clotheslines and had a neighbor do the cement bit for me to install it. I haven't run our dryer now for 3 weeks and have the goal of not running it as long as possible.
- When I was young, I wanted to be an architect or a writer. Late in high school, I switched the idea to naval architect. Instead, I ended up in the computer industry, starting in hardware and moving to software and wrote about both. Now, part of what I do is called "software architecture." But I've moved on from that into web work (web architect?) and online writing. I seem to switch focus every 5 years or so.
- I always plant too many tomatoes, if there is such a thing. My friends and neighbors enjoy this vice.
- I would like to live in a more rural environment, but in the meantime my suburban backyard must suffice. Faced with the reality, I wonder if I'd really make the move. I think what I really want is 2 acres on the edge of town, so I can choose which way to go each day for a walk--towards people or nature --and have the yard big enough to encompass my need to experiment.
- I try to run a few different sites/blogs in my spare time, of which there is not enough. My newest one is SingleParentCooking.
- I play fiddle.
I don't really read enough blogs these days to tag anyone comfortably. Work has been intruding, the girls are off school, and I'm becoming obsessed with the fiddle (just ask my children!). So feel free to tag yourself if you'd like and comment here to tell me so.
A few I'd like to see answer:
Dreams To Reality
Simple Living In a Complex World
Sex and the Single Movie Critic
I couldn't come up with 7 so if you want to participate, let me know and I'll add your link here.
Rules for this meme:
Each blogger starts with 7 random facts/habits about themselves. People who are tagged need to then report this on their own blog with their 7 random facts as well as these rules. They then need to tag 7 others and list their names on their blog. They are also asked to leave a comment for each of the tagged, letting them know they have been tagged and to read the blog.
